In 1985, the producers of ThunderCats kicked off the second season with a 5-part miniseries that introduced several new characters including Bengali, Lynx-O, Pumyra, Ratar-O, and Ro-Bear Bert. These characters will now make up a new wave of Minimates from Icon Heroes and Art Asylum. Perhaps in the next wave of ThunderCats Minimates we can get a Hachiman? The set will arrive in October or you can preorder them here.

page posted these pics of the next wave of Minimates from Icon Heroes with design work by the fine folks at Art Asylum. Cheetara, Tygra, Wilykat, Wilykit, and Robear make up the series. Look for it to release in the spring. (

Thunder, thunder, ThunderCats… Hoooooooooooo! Diamond Select Toys has announced that Lion-O will join the ranks of its Minimates line at San Diego Comic Con. He will come with the Sword of Omens and a claw shield. Look for him at the Action Figure Xpress booth.

The ThunderCats toy line seems to have stalled over at Bandai, but Diamond Select Toys is picking up the slack with this new Minimate. The Spirit of Jaga will be a San Diego Comic Con exclusive available at the Action Figure Xpress’ booth.
