The new Spider-Man film will soon get the Minimate treatment.  Each figure stands 2-inches tall and features 14 points of articulation.  Expect to see two-packs featuring Peter Parker and Spider-Man, along with Battle-Damaged Spider-Man versus The Lizard.  Toys R Us will also get the exclusive on Vigilante Spider-Man and Captain Stacy and Gwen Stacy and Dr. Curt Connors, while comic shops and specialty retailers will also sell Uncle Ben with a SWAT Officer and Aunt May with a SWAT Officer.  These swing into action in June.

The 7-inch figure will be on display at the Diamond Select booth at this weekend’s New York Comic Con. It will feature 16 points of articulation and will be available at specialty stores and comic shops in the spring. The previous Marvel Select movie figures for Thor and Captain America have included both the protagonist and main bad guy, but there has been no word yet of a Lizard figure.

Lego Super Heroes Coming in 2012

Lego will bring both Marvel and DC Super heroes to toy shelves in May of next year. Construction sets, minifigures and buildable characters will feature fan favorites like Spider-man, Superman, Captain America, Batman and more. Lego has already launched a website for the new wave of figures at www.legosuperheroes.com, but so far it only features three DC heroes (Superman, Batman, and Green Lantern) and information about several of their Super Hero-themed contests. Here are some pics courtesy our good friends over at From Bricks to Bothans of the figures shown off at San Diego Comic Con.
