NECA gave Figures.com the exclusive on the latest version of this upcoming Robocop nemesis. On the left you’ll see the updated ED-209 and on the right you’ll see its reveal from Toy Fair 2013. The main difference seems to be the paint job and new decals. The figure should have working hydraulics on the legs (up and down motion) and articulation in the arms, legs and feet. According to reports from Toy Fair, it’s close in scale to NECA’s 7-inch scale Robocop figures, with the company shooting for a $50 price tag. This urban police enforcement bot will be authorized to use force sometime this summer.
If you happen to be in violation of Penal Code 1.13, Section 9, you may want to slowly back away from this 7-inch scale action figure. Robocop’s mechanical archenemy from Paul Verhoeven’s 1987 film will get the toy treatment from the folks at NECA. We don’t have much information about it yet other than these three pics from Toy Fair, but we’ll keep you posted.
The fine folks at NECA recently put out this demonstration video of their upcoming 7-inch scale action figure of Murphy. His leg opens to reveal his firearm ready to take down some creeps. The company is calling the design an “engineering feat” for a figure in this scale. He will release in October or you can pre-order him here.
