As part of MattyCollector.com’s subscription line of Watchmen toys, Edwin Morgan Blake will soon get his very own articulated action figure.  You may know Edwin by another name though.  The Comedian features a comic inspired design, multiple points of articulation, a shotgun and a removable flamethrower backpack.  He is scheduled to ship on September 15.

It’s called Club Black Frieghter and MattyCollector.com wants Watchmen fans to subscribe to it. If you buy a membership you’ll get all 6 members of Alan Moore’s iconic hero team. Each of these 6-inch comic inspired figures will arrive every other month throughout 2013. The toys use the same “shared part” system from Matty’s DCUC/Club Infinite Earth line. Each character comes with a figure base and some will include character specific accessories. You can sign up for the sub here until August 6.

New Watchmen Action Figures

MattyCollector unveiled its new Watchmen comic action figure subscription at San Diego Comic Con. Matty will release a total of six figures throughout the year sculpted by the Four Horsemen and comparable in articulation, scale and level of detail to the Masters of the Universe® Classics Club Eternia® and DC Universe Club Infinite Earths 6-inch figures. Most come packaged with accessories (i.e. Rorschach has a gas gun) and every figure will come with a Watchmen logo base. It looks like each figure will run $25 and you can sign up for a free subscription that will give you early shipping and special access to other Matty products.
