Goodbye DC Direct. It has been nice knowing you. Thanks for the action figures, statues and collectibles. Kingdom Come Superman proudly guards my cubicle at the office. Au revoir.

Now, let’s say hello to its replacement, DC Collectibles. In early May, the new merchandising arm for DC Comics, MAD, and Vertigo will expand to offer its entire product line for sale on the web. For the fans who prefer to shop locally, the updated website will also provide information on the closest retail location that carries a particular DC Collectibles product.

As part of the big relaunch, DC Collectibles will offer two new “online exclusive” products and a new line of custom prints.  AintItCool.com got the first look at them. The Flashpoint Action Figure Box Set includes Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, a previously unreleased Emperor Aquaman and a $500 Wayne Casino Poker Chip. The Heroes of the DC Universe: Blackest Night Green Lantern and Sinestro Bust makes up the second online exclusive. Also, DC Collectibles will make available twenty new prints. Chief creative officer and DC comic book scribe Geoff Johns will show off more of the new DC Collectibles products this weekend at C2E2 in Chicago.
