Its official name is Bruce Wayne to Batman™ The Dark Knight Rises™ Movie Masters® Figure and MattyCollector.com plans to sell it at this year’s big convention in San Diego. This movie-accurate version of Christian Bale as the caped crusader comes in a special “lights and sounds” package that features the Wayne Manor exterior. The box opens to reveal the batcave stocked with protective battle armor and various crime-fighting accessories. To see it in action check out Toy Guru’s video preview here.
Finally, we will soon get the 3.75-inch Bruce Willis action figure that Die Hard fans have been asking for. The only problem? It will be part of the now delayed G.I. Joe: Retaliation figure line from Hasbro. Joining Joe Colton will be a Cyber Ninja “Wraith”, a red Cobra trooper, a dark ninja warrior and Lady Jaye (not pictured). These will be out in March (if the film doesn’t get pushed back again at the last minute).
It looks like Marvel Universe fans can expect the first wave of new figures to hit retail soon. BigBadToyStore.com just posted a new listing for a 2012 wave of heroes featuring Spider-Man Unlimited (waiting for information on regular vs. variant version), Kraven, New Incredible Hulk, Beast, and Beta Ray Bill. It looks like these will will show up sometime in late June or July.
Scott Neitlich, aka Toy Guru, gives us a preview of three MattyCollector 2012 figures: The Dark Knight Rises Batman, the Snake Men 2-pack and Horde Prime.
